•  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  •  Grease and flour round cake pan.
  •  Core the apples and cut them into thin slices.
  •  In a large bowl, cream together eggs and sugar till light and fluffy.
  •  Add flour and baking soda.
  •  Fold into batter, being careful not to over-mix.
  •  Put sliced apples on the bottom of the pan and pour the batter.
  •  Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted  into the center comes out clean.
